Today for Teeny Tiny Things we have our Li'l Copper Duo. I purchased these cute little guys at Doodlets on our trip to Santa Fe.
Hope your week is off to a great start! I'm getting a small case of the "Sunday Sads" myself. But we shall troop on through, right? :)

Oscar's Gal
So, there was a total lull at work...which is my excuse for creating this "Oscar Look" during the 9-5. hehe...I think I'll wear something similar when I win my first Oscar. ;)
Speaking of the Oscars, my ol' highschool friend Jessica is gonna be there! How cool is that? We were in Video Production together in high school (almost 10 years ago! eek!) and we had the most fun that could ever be had. Maybe in the next 5 years the ol' crew will all be on the red carpet together, winning awards! :)
I'm ridiculously excited for the Oscars this year. I managed to watch 8 out of the 10 Best Pic nominees. We'll be throwing out 5th Annual Oscar Party. Always so much fun! I have our ballots all printed out. Just need to buy some low key swag gifts, a couple of gift cards (for the top winners of the ballot race) and then we're all set!

I'm with the Banned
Band Scout by Lady HM on Polyvore.com
While catching up on some DVR'd TV, I decided to hop on to my neglected Polyvore account. I forgot how much fun it is! It's like paperdolls/dress-up/virtually shopping all in one.
I'm gonna be going out tomorrow night to see my buddy friends play a show. Their band is called Rawrr! They're gonna be playing in an old dance studio/semi-historic building on main street. So excited!
I decided to create a little going out outfit for the night out. (Of course all the clothes I will actually be wearing are a fraction of the price of these lovely duds).
Hope you all have a stupendously wonderful weekend up ahead! I'll be posting some pics later this weekend of the show, Saturday Links, Teeny Tiny Things Sunday and The 5th Annual Oscar Party. (Wow! A busy weekend!)

A Day in the Knife
I started the day off checking out how well my new little knife works.
I decided to put him with my li'l harmonica. That way if I feel like playing a little ditty while protecting myself as I walk through the park at night, I totally can.
Hope you had a great Thursday! Are you super excited for the weekend ahead? Any big plans?

Party of Awesome...On My Nails.
How freakin' awesome is this glitter nail polish? And the fact that its called "Party of Five" makes it that much more awesome. And the fact that its Wet n' Wild brand and was on $1.99 makes it the most awesome that has been for ages.
I added a couple of more layers of glitter cause clearly 2 coats is not enough. Nope. And also, also, the tweens at the library are gonna love it I think. Maybe not. They're kinda punks. Even though I was being super friendly and played the Wii with them and gave them full permission to laugh at my DDR (lack of) skills. But watch out tweens! I gots me some glitter nails and I went to Zumba tonight. I'm totally gonna kick your butts at that silly game! <--Not a true statement.

PS-My good friend Jennae just started a blog of ghosts and the paranormal. So check in on that awesome. Which reminds me of a ridiculous time she and I and about 8 other theatre peeps went ghost hunting in the theatre in college. SO SCARY!

A Trip To Santa Fe! Where Everything Is Adobe, Hey!
This weekend, my mom and twinnie Hilary went to Santa Fe. Hilary went to talk to representatives about disability rights on behalf of the grassroots Disabilities Advocacy Organization so I invited myself along for the ride.
While Hil was busy doing important things and being all awesome, my mom and I wandered about Santa Fe. We ate lots of yummy food and walked around the Plaza. Here are some photos of the fun we had.
My mom and I stopped in at the St. Francis Cathedral Basilica which is where the candles picture is from. We lit a couple for family and friends. We also stopped in a the the gift shop and I got a book on saints and the cutest little something for Teeny Tiny Things Sunday (just wait till you see the cuteness)!
We also stopped in at the cutest little shop called Doodlets. And bought ALL the little things. I'm set for quite a few Teeny Tiny Things posts. Another shop we stopped at was called Koko Chile (how awesome of a name is that?) And I bought my mom this gorgeous necklace for her birthday/anniversary/teacher appreciation award. It's twenty strands of "liquid silver." So pretty!
When Hilary was done, my mom and I walked back to the roundhouse and into a huge crowd of union/teachers/supports for the Wisconsin peeps. It's the first time I'd ever been in the midst of something like that. So exhilarating!

Two of the best videos of the internet ever! The classic "Charlie Bit Me!" I just can't even handle how cute their accents are. Reason #3 why I'd love to marry an English guy...
And little Capucine and her fantastic story of magical adventures!! Another incredibly adorable accent made even cuter by the fact that its coming from a toddler. Le sigh...
Click on over for the cutest little girl with the biggest eyes and an even bigger story!
Hope you have a great weekend ahead! I need to go eat some grub and figure out what will be in tomorrows post for Teeny Tiny Things Sunday!
Cheers! Ciao! Adios!

A Mess of Chairs or A Tiny WPA Piece of Art On A Collge Campus
Eeeho! I'm supposed to take my Ambien in exactly one minute and here I am blogging! But I had two pictures to share with you and a fun little night I wanted to describe before I go to bed and lose this feeling of silly and fun and happiness.
Okay, so I met up with my totally awesome friend Mikey at Urban Outfitters and we came across this cuteness:
Which he described as "a mess of chairs." Ha! So true! But I think it looks like a tiny little piece of WPA art on a college campus. And really...I think we're both right. Or as my good friend Jamie just tweeted "very tiny wedding reception gone horribly awry..." I think she totally wins this round.
After perusing the tiny arts of Urban, we went next door to the lovely bar Two Fools (how great of a name is that? Almost as great at the Thirsty Scholar in NY). And had some grub and a beer. Gah, I love me a deep, dark beer. Mikey suggested one for me and of course I can't remember the name. All I know is, I couldn't see through it when I held it up to the light which made it per-fect!
As we sat there chatting, I felt very How I Met Your Mother (without the annoying Ted). What, with my boots and dark denim combo and my stylishly dressed friend (he's always wearing some kind of awesome tie or sweater or vest or hat). Did I mention he's a musician? Yeah. He's awesome like that. He's in the local Albuquerque band Of God and Science. Check them out stat. My favoritist song of theirs (so far) is Impossible You. So perfectly good.
After Two Fools we went back to Urban and wandered around a bit more and then the song "Two Weeks" by Grizzly Bear came on and we both did that thing where you hear a really great song and you kinda slow down a bit and marinate in the sounds surrounding your eardrums. And you ask yourself, "what is this music loveliness?" I noticed Mikey get out his blackberry and I asked him what song it was and he was trying to do the song identification app thing but couldn't pick it up. And I exclaimed: "It was really loud in the purses section! Let's go over there!" So we moseyed on over to the purses where we stood listening to this awesome song.
I may or may not have listened to it 353 times from that point till now. Maybe.
Okay, I'm like 40 minutes overdue for an Ambien so I better go and stop giggling about tiny chairs. Thanks for reading lovely, impossibly...you!

Modern Love
How awesome is my lovely friend Jamie? Way awesome=is the answer to that question. She's a brilliant writer, artist and all around awesome lady. We survived undergrad together with sarcasm, snark, silliness, smiles and...soda.
For the holidays she sends personally illustrated adorable cards. How cute is this Valentine's Day card? Way cute=is the answer to that question as well.
Today (the beginning of my work week) ended surprisingly well. After an...interesting...day at work, I rushed home, said hello to the family and then ran off into the big city for a play reading for my friend Jennae's dads' play. {It was an awesome play by the by!} My good friend Kristin co-owns her own theatre downtown so that's where we held the play reading. It felt sooo good to do a play reading, let me tell you. I haven't had one of those since college...almost five years ago!
After the play reading we took a stroll downtown to a yummy little cafe. When we walked in, all the tables were taken and it was oddly quiet. We took a seat at the bar and then Jennae proclaimed, "Oh! It's Geeks Who Drink Night!" haha. That's why it was so quiet. All the cute bar peeps were concentrating on their survey questions. As we enjoyed our drinks and a burger, we got to hear some ridiculously funny trivia questions. There was a segment entirely based off of the CSI: Miami scream and random movie audio clips. It was hilarious!
All in all, a great Tuesday night! Need to have many more like it.
PS-That last photo is of Jennae's boyfriend Kurt (or Qurt as I call him). Isn't it just so freakin' funny? haha...makes me laugh...

Written Words {To Be Continued}
Since I'm a major procrastinator...and I have a half finished word doc saved with a ridiculous rambling love story...and I didn't want Valentine's Day to pass by without posting a little something...for you: A Haiku.
